A Little About Me
I’m the founder and CEO of Rietta, Inc., which I started in 1999. I trained as a computer scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with a Master’s in Information Security, and I’m a lifetime member of OWASP. With over 27 years of career experience, my role day-to-day is still hands-on: I make sure every project we take on is designed for security and optimized for speed.
I started working with Rails full-time in 2011, after having spent years working on a variety of other platforms, including PHP, .NET, and a lot of SQL. My background in starting and running web hosting services, building applications, and a focus on information security lets me bring a unique perspective to my projects.
What I Enjoy Most About This Job
I’ve worked in a lot of different environments over the years, from a web hosting company, to a “just make the code work” PHP shop, to an attempt at building games for the iPhone.
However, I have more fun working as a Rails developer than I’ve had in a long time. Working with our clients has proven to be incredibly rewarding as our team helps change the world just a little. I love this job!
